The Blue Hill Concert Association has been bringing extraordinary chamber music talents to Blue Hill for thirty winters. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend!
Our 2009 season kicks off with the Borealis String Quartet, a dynamic young ensemble based in Vancouver, British Columbia, followed by the return of pianist Edmund Battersby, performing duets with Shmuel Ashkenasi, the famed first violinist of the Vermeer Quartet. Our third concert features the Bennewitz Quartet from Prague, on tour after winning the 2008 Borciani String Quartet Competition.
During March, the Amelia Piano Trio comes for a return visit and, for our last concert, a selection of musicians from America's Dream Chamber Artists will perform works for flute, string, and piano ensembles.
All concerts begin at 3 o'clock in the First Congregational Church of Blue Hill. Tickets are available at the door (recommended donation: $20). Season subscriptions for all five concerts may be purchased for $90.
The Concert Association has been able to attract such outstanding artists thanks to the financial support of our audience and patrons. Please consider supporting this winter gem by purchasing a season subscription and by making an additional, tax-deductible donation.
